The Tom Osborne Invitational sets the national standard for competitive rink hockey. From 8U exhibition divisions to the Gold Pro cash bracket, every level competes on the same championship stage; governed by USARS national sanctioning and executed with professional event standards.

13 & Under: Panthers, Lightning, Flames, Bandits, Knights

15 & Under: Panthers, Skating Skol di Korsou Curazao (CUR), Bandits, Knights

Bronze: Panthers, Lightning, Flames, Warriors, Blast, Wolfpack

Silver: Lightning, Warriors, Panthers, Bandits, Bandits II, Phoenix, Indian Hawks

Gold Bracket A: Stallions, Super Patin, Crusaders, Inter San Juan

Gold Bracket B: Inter Bogota, Elite Chia, Phoenix, Indian Hawks

Game Play

  • 10U, 13U, 15U, and Bronze: Two 15-minute periods
  • Silver: Two 18-minute periods
  • Gold: Two 20-minute periods
  • Seeding games ending tied remain ties
  • Playoff overtime: 5-minute sudden death
  • If still tied: Four-player shootout, then captain shootout

Seeding

  • Win = 3 points
  • Tie = 1 point
  • Loss = 0 points

Tie Breakers:

  1. Head-to-Head
  2. Goals Against
  3. Goals For

Tournament Format

  • Three minutes between games
  • One-minute halftime break
  • One timeout per team each game
  • No timeouts in overtime
  • No warmup skating in end zone areas

Each division will compete in a round robin format before advancing to playoff rounds, with dedicated skills workshops and an exhibition game integrated throughout the week.

OSBORNE

Thomas James Osborne (1956–2021) was a leader, a friend, and a champion of sport. As founder of the Big Sky State Games and Executive Director of the National Congress of State Games, he helped shape Colorado Springs into a global destination for elite sport.

A champion of roller sports alongside Skate City Sports and the Pepsi Roller Sports Arena, he supported this community with the same commitment he brought to every endeavor.

We are proud to host the Tom Osborne Invitational in his name. The standard he set is the legacy we carry.
