QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The Professional Inline Hockey Association (PIHA) is the premier adult inline hockey league in North America, with over 75 teams from coast to coast. It’s the top level of competition and the league young players dream of joining.

The full Jr. PIHA schedule is released in mid-September, giving every team their complete game times and locations before the season begins. Unlike tournament-based formats where schedules are revealed last minute, families can plan ahead with confidence. Each team will typically play 3–5 games on their scheduled day, making for a 3–5 hour commitment. This means no more traveling for just a single game before heading home.

No. Rosters are set at the beginning of the season and players will stay with their assigned team. While new players may be added to a roster, once a player is placed on a team, they remain on that team for the entire season.

For all Skate City Sports Members, costs cover a complete season of development and competition. This includes Saturday morning practices, 24 regular-season games, and playoff weekend, which also features an optional 3v3 tournament. Membership also provides access to Jr. PIHA Media Day—giving players a unique, professional-style experience both on and off the rink.

Junior PIHA divisions are as follows: 9u, 12u, 15u
NOTE: These divisions are decided by birth year and are updated heading into each Jr PIHA season.
EXAMPLE: 2025 Junior PIHA birth years:

  • 9u - 2016, 2017, 2018 and younger
  • 12u - 2013, 2014, 2015
  • 15u - 2010, 2011, 2012

Players should register to play with the Skate City Organization that is closest to your home. Please refer to the Jr PIHA Logo, affiliated with your local Skate City information listed above.
